BLOOD TSUNAMI's PETE EVIL To Host MTV NORDIC's 'Headbanger's Ball'

October 2, 2006

BLOOD TSUNAMI guitarist/singer Pete Evil has been tapped to host the MTV Nordic's Norwegian version of "Headbanger's Ball", which is scheduled to launch Friday, October 6.

Commented Pete Evil's BLOOD TSUNAMI bandmate Bård G. Eithun (a.k.a. Faust, drums; SCUM, ABORYM, ex-EMPEROR): "In my opinion, this is a great chance to get someone with a splendid taste in music to work for the mainstream music media and eventually influence the popular-cultural agenda by playing metal and educating kids/fans a lesson or two in metal history. I would rather see for example VENOM and BLACK SABBATH on MTV than JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE and NELLY FURTADO."

BLOOD TSUNAMI recently signed a three-album deal with Nocturnal Art Productions/Candlelight Records. The group was scheduled to enter Lion Heart Studios in Oslo last month with engineer Øivind Voldmo Larsen to begin recording its debut album, tentatively titled "Thrash Metal", for a February/March 2007 release. According to a press release, the album's artwork 'will be over-the-top fantastic and the man going nuts on the canvas is Alex Horley Orlandelli, who is also known for his great drawings for Marvel comics, Heavy Metal magazine and Image comics."
